Building Accessible Websites Course Description: In this course, students will learn how to create websites that meet the Section 508 standards for website accessibility. This class is designed for web designers - the people who will be responsible for creating accessible pages. Included is: What it means to make a site “accessible”; creating Alt-text tags for images; creating accessible Navigation; making Image Maps accessible; accessible alternatives to Audio and Multimedia; creating accessible Forms and Tables; and Testing web pages for accessibility. Prerequisites: Students interested in this class should have advanced-level knowledge of HTML and an intermediate-level knowledge of CSS. This course is offered for both Mac & Windows.
