FileMaker Pro advanced Course Description: Students will learn more Advanced level techniques, Scripts and Calculations of moderate to advanced complexity and the powerful reporting capabilities of FileMaker Pro. Included: Creating Relational Value Lists; Filtered Portals—using data-driven, ranged, free text, and exploded multi-key filters; Portal Row highlighting; Preview Pane relationship and Objects; Dynamic Portal sorting; Calculated Column and Tab Control techniques; Storing User Preferences; Custom Menus and Menu terminology; and FileMaker Pro Instant Web Publishing (IWP)—Designing for Instant Web Publishing, Scripting for Instant Web Publishing; and Creating an IWP Home Page. Prerequisites: Since this course explores fairly complex Scripting and Calculation functions, we strongly recommend that individuals complete the FileMaker Pro Introduction and Intermediate courses prior to taking this class, or have equivalent development experience. This course is offered for both Mac & Windows and covers version 12.
