File Preparation & Preflight Course Description: You may have a great design, but is it printable? Learn techniques to ensure accurate output from digital layout files, beginning with an exploration of the tasks and processes required to prepare, package and deliver digital content to a print provider. Included: Fonts, Colors, Graphics and Images, and getting the most out of page layout programs such as Adobe InDesign; Steps to create print-perfect PDF files; and how to “preflight” and prepare your job correctly for submission to a printer to make sure the printing process goes off without a hitch. Prerequisites: Students interested in this class would benefit having prior knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. This course is offered for both Mac & Windows.
